new zealand

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” -Mark Twain

These a some pictures from my travels to New Zealand. We only had a limited amount of days so we zoomed around the South Island but I loved every moment of it and wished I could have spent months backpacking around and doing some rural tent living.

I discovered so much about myself and what I would like to do in the future during this trip.  It was also the best and probably only way to clear my mind from everything that I deal with day to day in Fiji and look back to see how I can better myself and my time in Fiji. enjoy..

1 hour into the journey, this is what we got to drive into.. the snow capped southern alps

the hike around castle rock

wouldn't this be a wonderful place to live

"I am convinced that during these days that are granted to us on this earth—a mere moment in the history of humankind— we should try to live happily and humbly and work as hard as we can, in the healthy conviction that during those days we really do have a chance, each in our own small way, to contribute to the building of a happier future."
-Carlo Petrini
The quote above is one of my favorites.

I've been horrible about updating, but my good friend greta who lives in the same town as me has uploaded a lot lately, so you should check out her blog to see bits of what i've been up to as well.  Check out "Easter Weekend" on an island near us, "poppin bottles" just for fun and "Girls night in" with my neighbor kids. They're all great!
